There’s no direct way to delete an event, but events will be automatically deleted once they’re in the past.

To delete a non-repeating event, wait until it’s passed, or modify it and set a date and time just an hour ahead or so, and it will soon be gone.

To delete a repeating event, modify it and set it not to repeat and schedule it an hour ahead or so, and it will be deleted after it’s passed.
